The Challenge
As a fresh build centred around a specific contest, the main challenge was creating clarity around an unconventional idea.
The experience needed to quickly explain the purpose of the initiative while making contributors feel encouraged rather than discouraged by the theme of rejection. Balancing emotional resonance with functional communication became an important consideration.
Strategy
The direction focused on reframing rejection as potential.
Structuring the narrative in a way that felt supportive and forward-looking helped position the campaign as an opportunity rather than a fallback. Content sequencing was designed to build understanding progressively while maintaining momentum towards participation.
Design Direction
The design emphasised strong messaging hierarchy and an inviting visual flow.
Hero sections were used to introduce the idea confidently, while supporting blocks clarified how users could take part. Modular layouts helped keep the experience lightweight and scannable, allowing visitors to grasp the initiative without feeling overwhelmed.
Subtle interaction moments were introduced to maintain engagement throughout the page.
Execution
The landing page was built with attention to responsiveness, pacing, and structural consistency.
Iterations focused on refining spacing, improving readability, and ensuring the narrative unfolded smoothly across devices, creating a cohesive campaign experience.
Outcome
The final page provided a clear platform for communicating the contest and its intent.
By simplifying the message and strengthening the overall flow, the website helped frame participation as accessible and meaningful for the target audience.
Transformation
Instead of evolving an existing experience, the project established a focused digital entry point for the campaign.
The result was a structured storytelling environment that helped translate an abstract idea into a tangible opportunity.
Reflection
This project highlighted how important it is to shape emotional context through design.
Creating the right balance between motivation and clarity can significantly influence how users interpret and respond to campaign messaging.
